There are women who get too excited when they see the word "sale" on shoes and bags. Others palpitate when they see jewelry, makeup, fashion accessories. But me... I get overly excited when I visit local trade fairs.
Mrs.Wise is so excited for the annual National Trade Fair organized by the Department of Trade and Industry - Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion. It will be held at the SM MegaTrade Hall, SM Megamall, August 23-25, 2019! It is your chance for awesome early Christmas shopping, supporting local SME's, participating in the green advocacy and more!

The DTI supported trade fairs and sikat pinoy exhibits are my HAPPY PLACE! Why? Aside from the shopping, I get to see new, interesting and exciting local products. I also get to talk to the owners themselves, most of them have travelled all the way from their respective provinces. It gives me the opportunity to interview them regarding their products. Parang matagal na nila akong suki!
So if you plan to visit the National Trade Fair (which I urge you to do), here are 10 reasons why it continues to be a much-awaited event:
So if you plan to visit the National Trade Fair (which I urge you to do), here are 10 reasons why it continues to be a much-awaited event:
1. The Best Products from the Regions. There will be 250 exhibitors from all over the country offering products such as furniture and furnishings, houseware and decor, wearables and fashion accessories, gifts and souvenirs, as well as heirloom food, and health and wellness products.
2. Holiday Decor Pavilion. Jumpstart your Christmas design
ideas by checking out the special setting of the Philippine Homestyle and
Holiday Decor Association (PhilHHDA) for a sneak peek at the upcoming holiday

3. Living Green Pavilion. Discover green crafts developed by
eco-conscious MSMEs in collaboration with the Design Center of the Philippines.
The showcase features a one-of-a-kind design collaboration that champions
materials indigenous to the country and pushes for efforts that are kinder to
the planet.
4. The Green Pavilion. In search of organic,
sustainable, eco-friendly, and yummy food? Indulge your taste buds at the
display of the Association of Laguna Food Processors (ALAFOP) in partnership
with DTI-Laguna.
5. Marawi Showcase. Help our internally displaced
persons (IDPs) or ‘bakwits’ in their economic recovery by supporting their

to upgrade your home with a new statement piece crafted by Filipino artisans?
Need a distinctive item to brighten up your space? Don’t miss out a stop at

products. You don’t have to go home to the province to stock up on all the
delicacies you miss from home.
Am coming back for the acacia chopping board on Sunday :) |
surprised with this stall from neighboring barangay! it sells the smallest cucumber that they grow in Tanay Rizal. They also sell rambutan "tuklapin" which I tasted, very sweet |
have always been fascinated with the magic fruit (when you eat one, everything that is sour turns sweet). this store found a way to turn this magic fruit into a very good wine |
I had fun talking to this seller from Benguet. Bought the 3-way scarf
(scarf, bolero and bonnet + scarf) In the video she is teaching me how to
wear it as a bonnet + scarf
8. Leather Crafting Workshop. Make your own belt, coin purse,
wallet or bag. Or just support this social enterprise involving persons with
disabilities by buying some of their handcrafted leather goods.
9. Kapetirya. Another mainstay at the national
trade fairs, the Coffee Pavilion brings the best of Philippine coffee blends to
the metro.
10. Green Station. Contribute to the green
initiative by bringing waste materials for recycling by our
partner-beneficiaries. For your good deed, you get a free eco-bag courtesy of
Monteverde Sewing Inc.
