MRS.WISE AT THE 2018 SIKAT PINOY NATIONAL TRADE FAIR

I am definitely a BIG fan of trade fairs. And one of the fairs I like going to, its my 3rd time to visit, is the Sikat Pinoy National Trade Fair.

Why? I simply marvel at the craftsmanship of Filipino entrepreneurs. Definitely world class. Since I don't have the means and the time to go to the different provinces and regions to discover their products, I let Sikat Pinoy bring the products to me!

Since it happens several times a year, I can do my Christmas shopping in advance. No stressful last minute shopping.  It is really a GOOD idea to give gifts made by fellow Pinoys. Support LOKAL products.

And if you are a certified foodie like me, Sikat Pinoy is the trade fair to visit. There are lots of food choices, to bring home to the family to enjoy.  Sarap!  Happy also, that in my recent visits, there is a steady growing number of organic and healthy choices.  And yes, this is where I get my dose of caffeine -- the civet and arabica coffee that I get here are of good quality (and I hoard hahaha).

LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE WOODEN EARRINGS
EVERYONE MUST RECYCLE

MRS.WISE REVIEW: REAL FRESH SKIN DETOXER

Mrs.Wise is so happy to be an ALTHEA ANGEL. Why?  First and foremost, I get first dibs on awesome beauty products before they even become available on the Althea website. I also get discounts and freebies at an Althea Angel.  What a blessing it is!

I was very impressed when I got my very first Althea products, the BARE ESSENTIALS.  As I said in my review, I loved its effect on my skin with just 3-steps!

But this time, Althea's new products, in collaboration with Korea's top TV program "Get It Beauty" have impressed me once more.  The REAL FRESH SKIN DETOXER. Again, it suits my minimalist lifestyle.  Just two products to use daily, one in the morning and one in the evening, and I have achieved good glowing skin. Simply awesome!

REAL FRESH SKIN DETOXER, WHAT IT IS?

Created to suit the hectic schedules of modern urbnites these two products harness the goodness of nature and translates that into freshness and vitality for the skin. Made with premium ingredients sourced from various parts of the world.

ROSE:  FOR REFINING

This product contains real rose petals from Southern France, that smooths away roughness and gives the skin a radiant glow. I use it after I woke up, and instantly eliminates the oiliness in my face.

GREEN TEA:  FOR PURIFYING

This product contains young green tea leaves from Jeju Island. After applying to my face at night, before I sleep, my skin feels rejuvenated, again oiliness gone, without the feeling of dryness.

HOW TO USE:

Very easy!  It is actually a daily 10-sec wash off mask  (NOT 10 minutes, very ideal for my busy sked).  Just apply generously on face, then add water and massage in a circular motion. Let it stay for 10-sec then wash off. That's it!  Smooth, rejuvenated skin in just 10 seconds!

MRS.WISE VERDICT:

I LOVED it because:  it works wonderfully on my skin in such short time. It fits my "on-the-go" lifestyle. Second, I particularly LOVED the natural ingredients - rose and green tea leaves.  I have always believed in the healing and detoxifying power of all natural ingredients.  Lastly, it jives well with the Bare Essentials. My skin feels soft and clean after application. No oiliness, and definitely NO dryness. Good skin achieved!

Simply just happy to be an ALTHEA ANGEL!  More product reviews in the coming weeks  :)

DEVOUR: EXCITING FOOD HUB IN QC

I have visited several food trucks/parks in the past year.  They have gained some popularity because of the variety of food that you can choose from.  If you are a foodie like me, you simply don't stop to discover the next best thing when it comes to food choices and an alternative place to chill with the family.  Happy to have discovered DEVOUR in the heart of Quezon City!

DEVOUR FOOD HUB:  WHAT MRS.WISE LIKED ABOUT IT

1.  Exciting food choices.  There's barbecue, kebab, chicken wings, sausage, Pinoy and Japanese food.  To satisfy your sweet cravings, there are also several choices for desserts. This is exciting, especially for my family, because when we eat out, we crave for different things.

2.  Nice ambience. You will definitely love their IG worthy nooks.  Perfect for those chill moments with the barkada or family.

3.  There is a quaint cafe that serves single origin coffee -- Cube Coffee.  Though drinking single origin coffee is an acquired taste -- for budding coffee lovers, it is definitely worth to experience what Cube coffee has to offer.

4.  PARKING!  I typed it in all caps, because the parking at Devour is BIG.  That is why, parking will never be a problem. This is definitely a plus point!  And extra point also for a very clean restroom.

5. Very accessible as jeepneys pass by in front of devour  (Project 2-3 and Cubao bound jeepneys).

HIGHLIGHTS OF MRS.WISE's DEVOUR EXPERIENCE:

So if you are in the QC area, please do visit Devour Food Hub.
Open Sun-Thurs from 11am-1pm;  Fri-Sat from 11am-1am.

BAGONG BILI O BAGONG LABA?

Bagong Bili o Bagong Laba?  This was the question that confused netizens, mommies in particular, when photos of Melai Cantiveros and Alex Gonzaga appeared on social media, wearing identical OOTD. No one can figure out the answer as both the outfits of Alex and Melai looked brand new!

To solve the great mystery once and for all, Tide hosted “Bagong Bili o Bagong Laba Fashion Walk-Off”, an interactive fashion show last July 31 at White Space, Makati. Excited guests took part in a game that proved how brand new whites look no different from clothes washed with Tide.

Mrs.Wise was particulary excited that day, to be reunited with her former "alagas".  I worked with Luis Manzano in SQC, as we toured 8 provinces searching for the next big star.  Melai, on the other hand, was a dear housemate when I was working in PBB.

So it was a happy day as I saw them again in Tide's Fashion Walk Off.  Other celebrities joined the event -- as they strtted to confuse the crowd even more.  Bagong Bili o Bagong Laba nga ba ang mga suot nila?

Just like everyone in the audience, it’s hard to tell the difference between bagong bili and bagong laba with Tide.  But in the end it was revealed --- Melai was wearing a brand new outfit, while Alex wore an outfit na bagong laba.

“We know how important it is for Filipinos to have the best-looking uniforms and everyday wear, but we also know that with repeated use, clothes usually look dingy. That’s why we’re delighted to present Tide, which in one wash, keeps clothes looking like new.” ends Procter & Gamble’s Country Marketing Manager for Laundry, Jonn Terence Dy.

With its great cleaning power that removes dirt while brightening whites, your OOTDs can still have that “looks like new” look even after repeated usage, getting that surprising wow from everyone.
Sa Tide,  sa isang laba, mukhang bago!
