 SCENE 1:             MRS.WISE'S CRIB.                   3PM.                PRESENT.

It's friday afternoon,  and we don't have anything to cook for dinner. We do once a week grocery, but this time, supply was depleted rather early onto the week.  Picked up the schoolbooks this morning, and passed by the neighborhood resto for sweet and sour fish fillet.

Then I panicked.  What are we going to have for dinner?

Rummaged through the freezer, and there I saw.... (sound effects of drum roll, and spotlight on.  Hahaha.... my imagination just runs wild when I am in a panic mode) --- Angus Beef Salpicao, Angus Premium Lean Tapa, Angus Original Tapa, and Spicy Angus Tapa!!!  All USDA certified and ready to cook products.  Oh wow, it's gonna be an exciting Friday dinner after all.

And where did I get these wonderful premium products?  Let's backtrack a little....

SCENE 2:             FLASHBACK.            MRS.WISE'S CRIB.

I was invited to this food/business blog event.  At first, I was hesitant to join... what do I know about business?  Not much.  But when I was told that the client was JAM Foods & Co, I finally said yes.

WHY?  First, it was a food related business.  It is something that will benefit my readers who are predominantly misis looking for home based business that would contribute to their family's finances.  Second, the business is owned by a prominent chef.  Third, a lot of people have been raving about the products -- so it has a lot of potential as far as business is concerned.

So there.... off I go to Makati to be a part of an intimate food business session with JAM Foods & Co.

And there I was, with my dependable lumix having a grand time
taking photos of the awesome food served to us!

Let's reveal the 3 W's!

WHAT:   JAM Foods & Co is the group behind the famous U.S.D.A Angus beef tapa, salpicao, and other premium ready-to-cook products.  Their beef products come from US; premium pork are sourced out from France and Germany;

WHO:   JAM FOODS & CO. is owned by Chef John Cu-Unijeng and wife Michelle.  Chef John has been in the food business for over 20 years now.  He had his formal training at the Culinary Institute of America. He shot to prominence in the 1990's with this TV show "How About My Kitchen".  His first restaurant, Perico's, was known for its paellas and thanh long crabs.  He then later worked as the corporate chef for the Bistro Group and eventually headed McDonald's Philippines' Research and Development Department.  Currently, he and wife Michelle are managing the Hexagon Lounge, the executive dining room of RCBC Plaza while managing JAM Foods & Co.

WHY IT IS SUCH A WINNER:   Chef John assured us that the ingredients used in his products are the freshest possible produce and have no added MSG.  The secret is in his "marination" that he admitted, took long to perfect.

His Angus Beef Tapa, was the ultimate winner in the Ultimate Taste Test 4.0 in 2010. Staying true to the company's purpose to diversify and provide value added meat products, the husband and wife team gradually added Angus Beef Salpicao, Hot and Spicy Angus Tapa, Premium Lean Angus Tapa, Korean Beef Barbecue, Angus Burger Patties, Angus Ribeye, Top Fillet Steaks, Dips and Spice blends to the roster of quality products of the company.

This is what we sampled on during the event:

Hot and Spicy Angus Tapa

Korean Beef Barbecue

Angus Beef Salpicao
Classic Angus Tapa
Premium Lean Angus Tapa

Calumpit Longganisa

Angus Ribeye

Baby Back Ribs

SCENE 4:                THE VERDICT.

Now you ask me... what is my take on this food business.  It is definitely worth a try.  As I have said, you can never go wrong in investing in a food business.  Especially with these premium and quality meat products.  If you become a distributor, Chef John will also assist you in recommending delicious ways on how to prepare/cook the products for your buyers. It is also ideal for those who have existing restaurants or want to start a home cooked food delivery business.

So what are you waiting for?  JAM Foods & Co is now looking for Distributors.  You can inquire through:
