Something unexpected happened to me last Thursday, the first of December... I survived and surprisingly enjoyed SPICY food. Oh well dear momsies... it was a "first" for me. I always avoid spicy food because my tastebuds simply cannot tolerate it. I remembered when I visited Thailand, for a TV shoot, I ended up always hungry hahaha.... because they served us nothing but spicy food.
But this has finally changed... when I went back to ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME and tasted the most delicious, somewhat spicy food that they offer!
ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME is a hip resto that serves Southeast Asian cuisine, mainly Vietnamese, Malaysian and Thai. Foodie fanatics have loved their food and the cool vibe of the place, when they were still in Malingap and Maginhawa Street. But now, ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME has a new home in Tomas Morato, I find their new location ideal... walking distance from ABS-CBN, and just in front of Il Terrazo. And it has ample parking space. It can accommodate 20 people inside its air conditioned space. For smokers, there's a huge area just outside where you can still hang out with friends, enjoy MLYLT's beer perfect dishes and chill.

| MALAYSIAN CURRY LAKSA - Php 215 Made up of rice noodles with chicken and egg. I enjoyed its spiciness and curry-based soup. Really really flavorful. Though my taste buds missed the mantou, to combat the spiciness :) |

| THAI TOM YUM - Php 250 This sweet and sour soup made with shrimp, vegetables and gata blended well in my mouth. Again, I survived its spicy flavor. |

| FRESH SPRING ROLL - Php 175 for 6 pieces One of my favorite MLYLT dishes. The lettuce and shrimp wrapped in rice paper, was perfect in minimizing some of the spiciness I experienced in the first two dishes :) and when you dip it in MLYLT special peanut sauce, it is the perfect appetizer |

| MIXED SATAY - Php 195 for 6 pieces I simply love the effect of the peanut sauce on top of chicken and pork satay. I don't like peanut butter on bread, but as a dip, I love peanut sauce |

| INDONESIAN BEEF RENDANG - Php 255 This for me is the best seller of MLYLT. I can't stop eating the sweet-spicy beef that is so tender to bite. My instant reaction... "pahingi ng rice"!  THAI BASIL FRIED RICE - Php 185 This is it... Rice pa more! The basil infused stir fried rice is the ideal partner of the Beef Rendang for me :) |
