WHEN HUNGER CALLS... IT IS TIME FOR A PITSTOP!

If you love food and you are always on the look out for something interesting, creative and delicious to munch on.... then visiting a food park must be on top of your list.  Definitely one of the hottest trends in the foodie industry -- food parks will never disappoint the foodie in you.  One, the choices are unlimited.  If you go with your friends or family, you can simply "disperse", choose what your appetite dictates, then simply merge again to enjoy your choices... probably have a taste of what the others ordered, and eat and drink the night away!

This is exactly what I experienced with the hubby when we were invited to the opening of the latest food park in Quezon City -- PITSTOP!

Wiktionary defines PITSTOP as "a stop made during an automobile race" -- hence the automobile-related design in PitStop Foodpark!   (pic of signage etc, flags)

PITSTOP FOOD CHOICES:

If you compare the food choices here at Pitstop to car racers, then the competition is definitely aggressive and fierce  There are several food stalls waiting at the finish line just to satisfy your cravings.

We were given 5 coupons, so hubby and I made these choices:

FIRST PITSTOP: BRANDON'S STEAKHUB (Nobody Does Steak As We Do)

We ordered their RIB EYE STEAK, well done.

When it arrived, it came with 3 sauces -- wild mushroom sauce, brandon's signature sauce and black pepper sauce.  It also came with the mac and cheese balls with pomodoro sauce.  This was a superb treat.  It was crispy to the bite chewy and cheesy inside.  As for the steak -- it was perfectly cooked.  The fat wasn't burnt and literally melts in your mouth with every bite.  It was very tender.  Of the 3 sauces, the hubby liked the pepper sauce because he said it complemented the sweet tasting steak. My personal favorite was the brandon's signature sauce.

SECOND PITSTOP:  CHEF RESTY'S  (Come and Carve It!)

Chef Resty's specialty is Roastbeef.  We ordered their BIG BEEFWICH in large Ciabatta Bread with 150 grams of Roastbeef.

Php 190

I can't help but biting non stop into this Beefwich.  The Ciabatta was soft, the beef inside was perfectly tender.  The gravy had the right amount of saltiness that complements the taste of beef.  The serving is large enough to be shared by two.

THIRD PITSTOP:  NORI (Sushi x Burrito)

Php 295

I had to order a sushi burrito.  Ever since it gained popularity several years back, I have always wanted to try it.  I am a big fan of mexican burrito, and I love sushi.  And when you can have both in one dish.... I know I will like it.

I ordered SALMON UNAGI with salmon, peaches, cucumber, spring onions, unagi sauce and cream cheese.

When I took the first bite... the flavor of the salmon blended with the peaches and cream cheese.  I can consume everything even without the sauce.  But halfway through munching, I put the ROASTED SESAME sauce first, then the SALSA VERDE.  I liked the first sauce.  What was disappointing in my sushi burrito is not the taste, but the presentation.  I did not like that the sauce came in small plastic bags which is so hard to open and squeeze into my sushi burrito.  They could have put it in squeeze bottles!

FOURTH PITSTOP:  QRAZY QUESADILLA

Php 185

We ordered the chicken quesadilla.  It was a bit spicy for my taste buds, but the hubby was quite happy with the Sriracha mayo.  It was an excellent partner to any alcoholic drink, I must say.  There was also a generous filling of chicken inside so you get your money's worth.

FIFTH PITSTOP:  NITRO

Last stop.... caffeine fix at Nitro 7, the Philippines' first nitrogen-infused cold-brew coffee and tea bar.  Refreshing on a hot summer evening

SO WHO WON THE GUSTATORY RACE?

Hooray for Brandon's Steak Hub, our top choice. Kudos to the chef -- he really knows how to grill his steak!!!  We will definitely come back here with the teens  :)

PERKS OF PITSTOP FOOD PARK:

1.  No smoking on the first floor.  Smokers are assigned on the second floor so I didn't get to inhale their smoke.

2.  There is a parking place beside the food park

3.  Live bands entertain you as you eat
