7 FLAVORS BUFFET AND ALA CARTE REVIEW

As a TV/events writer of 20+ years  (please don't calculate my age hahaha!), I never go into an assignment without doing prior research.  With information nowadays is just a click away... I literally "stalked" the restaurant that I was suppose to food blog.  And this is what I learned about 7 FLAVORS BUFFET AND ALA CARTE from the net!

FROM RESEARCH:

1.  they serve the most delicious tacos in town
2.  because they serve International Cuisine, I am excited to get a taste of Mexican, Italian,
     Japanese and Filipino dishes
3.  I don't think I can commute going A. Mabini, hubby and I brought the car.  Parking will
not be a problem, based on the pictures of their large parking area.

With these things in mind -- off we go to 7 Flavors Buffet and Ala Carte!

FIRST IMPRESSION

The first thing that I saw when I arrived, was the huge parking area.  Surely, parking will never be a problem for the diners.  I also liked the resto's facade.  Very modern.

THE HUGE DOOR THAT GREETS YOU UPON ARRIVAL

The first floor is for "ala carte" diners.  I liked the "homey" feel that the place has. The big, colorful blackboard wall that displayed what you can order adds a quirky feel to the place. Very instagram worthy!

FIRST FOOD TRIP PICTURE  :)
The second floor area are for the buffet diners.  It can hold up to 150 people.  There are also function rooms that you can reserve.   You don't have to pay extra for these rooms, just pay for your buffet meal.  You can bring in cake, if you are celebrating someone's birthday.  You need to pay corkage fee for alcoholic drinks.  If you will be bringing in party stuffs like a photo booth or you will be using a sound system or projectors in your event, you will need to pay an extra minimal fee.  You can get the entire second floor exclusively, if you book for 120 people.

THE FOOD TRIP

Maybe you are wondering why 7 Flavors?  It stands for the seven flavors that you will experience while dining -- Sweet, Salty, Sour, Bitter, Umami, Astringent and Spice.

It was a jampacked Wednesday night.  There's a birthday party in the biggest function room. There a meeting in the smaller one. And before we left, another birthday celebration. That is why it is highly recommended that you call for reservations if you want to dine here with your family.

This is what my hubby and I feasted on that night....

PORK SALPICAO
SPICY SALMON HEAD
PORK BARBECUE
BUFFALO CHICKEN WINGS

BAKED SEAFOOD
CREAMY PENNE PASTA
KOREAN CHICKEN WITH PLUM SAUCE
TOFU SISIG
BEEF CALDERETA

The tacos are really tasty... the taco shells are home made and is huge and crunchy.  The beef tender and has that smoked barbecue flavor that we loved!

These are the desserts that I consumed!  Actually, I finished two plates of this :)

THE VERDICT

Compared to other buffet restaurants, 7 Flavors Buffet has fewer choices, but some of the dishes are really really good.  We particularly raved about the Buffalo Chicken Wings, Baked Seafood, Beef Caldereta, Korean Chicken with Plum Sauce... and the star of this buffet... the Tacos!

I personally feel, they could have added more choices of maki and sashimi.  I really just love Japanese food.

Service wise -- there's more to improve.  I noticed my spoon was not clean enough I had to ask the waiter for a replacement.

Since Christmas is just around the corner, I would highly suggest 7 Flavors Buffet and Ala Carte as a party venue.

As a commuter, I thought it was hard to reach the place.  But from my chat with Mr. Albert Borja II, the restaurant's Chief Operating Officer I learned that there is an orange multi cab that travels from Greenhills to Wilson.  If you find this multicab it will bring you directly to 7 Flavors, and it will stop in front of the resto.

Sir Albert also was excited to announce 7 Flavors Buffet and Ala Carte's soon to be partnership with UBER drivers.  Soon, it will be super easy to come and go to the resto.

And there's more -- soon also... the first floor of the restaurant will be converted into an exciting and upscaly Steak House.  For all steak lovers -- you should watch out for this!
