Dear readers... I will let you in on a little secret. I always frequent home fairs, because I have the strong urge to hoard kitchen and bath towels, place mats, pillow covers and beddings. I simply cannot resist whenever I see see that 50% off sign! Good thing, these things have no expiry dates. I can just store them, and use them anytime I want. The smell of new and freshly washed beddings is so enticing... makes me want to stay in bed the entire day :)
We spend most of our time in the bedroom and for most people, bedroom becomes a sanctuary of thoughts, thereby, making it appealing and conducive to the eye can be very useful. The perfect bedroom should help cheer you up as well as get you the right outlook.

Just how often should you wash your beddings? Research says, once a week is the most ideal. Not washing your beddings regularly can contribute to health problems such as allergies and asthma. Dead skin cells that you shed every night can attract dust mites.
If you can regularly wash your bed sheets and linens, preferably at 60C to kill the bacteria. If you don't have washing machine with hot water, drying the beddings in direct sunlight can also help. Run a hot iron over pillowcases to kill any leftover bacteria.
