The RED kitchen in my home is definitely my huband's turf.  But once in a while, I visit to prepare salads, or fry egg.  Admittedly between me and my husband, he is the expert cook. But there are times when I need to prepare something for the teens, especially when the husband has to work overtime.

One of the few things that I can prepare is my husband's Creamy Mushroom Soup.  And since it was raining every single day for the last two weeks... the teens requested for this soup.  But I decided to tweak it a little. By putting a secret ingredient and a healthy veggie aside from mushrooms.

Already intrigued?  Well.... watch the video to find out how to prepare --- MRS.WISE CREAMY MUSHROOM WITH A TWIST!

I decided to put celery because I love the crunchiness it gives to the soup.  Celery is an excellent source of antioxidants and beneficial enzymes, in addition to vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin K, Vitamin C, potassium, folate and Vitamin B6.

Mushrooms on the other hand, contain high amounts of copper, which is needed to produce blood cells and maintain heart health.  Additional nutrients are Vitamins C, D and B; and the mineral selenium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium and zinc.

The Dulong is inspired by my love for tsamporado and tuyo, that my mom prepared everytime the weather gets cold.    (pic a IG) The Dulong's saltiness complements the creaminess of the mushroom soup!

Aside from the fact that this soup is a comfort food of my family during rainy days, it is also packed with health benefits too!

Mommies and daddies... you might want to try serving this to your own family.  Drop me a message if you decide so, and tell me about your family's culinary experience!
