LIVING IN A MOUNTAIN PARADISE CALLED BANFF

All my life, I lived in the city. A place bustling with busy people rushing to go to work early in the mornings. Rush hour traffic, congestion, pollution --- they are all part my daily grind.

When I got the opportunity to travel abroad – particularly in Japan and Australia, I discovered things that I particularly like to immerse myself more: the beauty of nature.

Just take a look at this picture above. Wouldn’t it be perfect if I can wake up every single day and see this view in my window?  Expansive open sky and limitless greenery. I am sure it will always feel like I am on vacation every day.

There’s a charm to mountain living that you just don’t find in the city or the suburbs. There’s something truly wonderful about waking up in the crisp mountain air and probably see animals roaming around. Especially now, in this unprecedented time of the pandemic, being close to nature is a big blessing.

LET’S TALK ABOUT BANFF!

If not for the pandemic, me and my husband were scheduled to visit Canada. We were invited by a relative to stay with them and explore the country. One of the scheduled adventure is a visit to Banff National Park, because part of our bucket list is to witness the Aurora Borealis, which makes it appearance during the winter months of October to May.

Banff is a resort town in the province of Alberta, located within Banff National Park.

It is a wonderful place to visit if you like to Ski in the winter or enjoy hiking, biking and other outdoor activities. The 6,500 square km. of parkland are home to wildlife including elk and grizzly bears. Banff National Park, Canada’s oldest and first national park, is popular to tourists for its majestic lakes and  mountains. As a tourist haven, Banff is visited by an average of four million tourists each year.
