THINGS TO LOOK FOR IN HAND SANITIZERS

As a mother, I am always on the look out for effective products that would help my family eliminate viruses, especially the Covid19 virus. That is why I always do my research on face masks, alcohols, hand sanitizers and vitamins.

This article will focus on hand sanitizers. What are the things that we should look for in choosing the right hand sanitizer for our family? Again, medical experts RECOMMEND, frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as the BEST WAY to combat Covid 19! Using hand sanitizers, is the next best thing to hand washing, when soap and water are not available.

  1. A hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. This percentage of alcohol will effectively destroy the Covid 19 lipid protective core or protein.
  2. A hand sanitizer that does not dry our skin. During the height of the pandemic in March 2020, where I travelled from Ph to Singapore to Australia and back -- I have experienced putting too much alcohol into my hands when I don't have access to water and soap. The result - it made my hands so dry. So a good next option to handwashing is choosing a hand sanitizer that would not dry your skin.
  3. A hand sanitizer that is paraben free. Parabens are known to disrupt hormones in the body and harm fertility and reproductive organs, and even increase the risk of cancer. It also cause skin irritations.

DERMA SCIENCE HAND SANITIZERS: DOES IT FIT THE BILL

This new hand sanitizer gel (not liquid) contains 70% alcohol.  So if we talk about eliminating the virus, this product definitely performs its job well!

When I applied 2-3 pea size drops on my hands, I noticed that it dries quickly. And it doesn't feel dry on my hands. I did not experience any tingling experience brought normally by ordinary alcohol. There is also no irritating effects on my hands (even if I have minor scratches due to some gardening mishaps).

Plus, I have peace of mind because I know that it doesn't contain paraben. So I know it is very safe, for me and my family!
