WRONG YAKINIKU: A MUST VISIT JAPANESE-KOREAN-SHABUSHABU PLACE IN QC

My fellow "Northeners"... there is a new and exciting restaurant that fuses Japanese, Korean and Shabu Shabu in one, a must visit place in Fairview -- WRONG YAKINIKU!

WHERE IS IT LOCATED:

First and foremost (especially for my dear readers from the South) - Wrong Yakiniku is located at Pontiac corner Camaro Street West Fairview Quezon City. If you guys are familiar with Fairview Center Mall, it is a 500m walk from there. Buses, jeepneys and public passenger vans all pass by FCM via Commonwealth.

Wrong Yakiniku is located in a quiet neigborhood. It is part of the newly constructed Vensu Place Building.

FIRST IMPRESSION:

I loved the wooden accents all over the place.  It made the whole place cozy, so perfect for family and barkada bondings. I won't mind staying here for a couple of hours.

I also loved the use of hard wood with black steel in their tables and chairs. Very chic and modern.

All over the place, especially in the bar area, you would also see different Korean and Japanese beverages.

The restaurant is divided into two distinct dining areas, one is for grilling, the other one for shabu shabu.

grilling area that is privately secluded

Overall, the interiors of Wrong Yakiniku kindda reminded me of those quirky eateries I visited in Dotonbori - Osaka's food capital.

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE FOOD:

For all unli BBQ fanatics, you will not be disappointed with Wrong Yakiniku. The beef, pork and chicken choices were good. But these weren't the only "Japanese style Korean BBQ"
treats that I enjoyed. I liked their meat wrapped enoki mushroom, cherry tomatoes and quail eggs. Veggie lovers like should try these!  I liked that their meats were not marinated, instead they were seasoned with Al-Nori. It enhanced the natural flavor of the meats.

Being a certified Japanese food lover, I liked the selection of maki set on the buffet table. And the tempura is perfect, cooked crispy while the shrimp remained moist and delectable.

For those who love shabu-shabu, you can enjoy cooking this simmered pot of soup with the whole family.

MRS.WISE VERDICT:

There's abolutely nothing wrong with Wrong Yakiniku!  In fact, everything is right!  The right ambience for family dining. The right price for their wide array of food choices. The right drinks and cocktails to pair with your food, for the perfect barkada bonding.

Watch this video that I prepared, and see that the owners of Wrong Yakiniku were very much hands on to give you a pleasant dining experience.
