LOVE AT FIRST BITE AT "ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME"

Something unexpected happened to me last Thursday, the first of December... I survived and surprisingly enjoyed SPICY food.  Oh well dear momsies... it was a "first" for me.  I always avoid spicy food because my tastebuds simply cannot tolerate it.  I remembered when I visited Thailand,  for a TV shoot, I ended up always hungry hahaha.... because they served us nothing but spicy food.

But this has finally changed... when I went back to ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME and tasted the most delicious, somewhat spicy food that they offer!

ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME is a hip resto that serves Southeast Asian cuisine, mainly Vietnamese, Malaysian and Thai.  Foodie fanatics have loved their food and the cool vibe of the place, when they were still in Malingap and Maginhawa Street.  But now, ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME has a new home in Tomas Morato, I find their new location ideal... walking distance from ABS-CBN, and just in front of Il Terrazo.  And it has ample parking space.  It can accommodate 20 people inside its air conditioned space.  For smokers, there's a huge area just outside where you can still hang out with friends, enjoy MLYLT's beer perfect dishes and chill.

Now, are you ready to get  a "taste" of the yummy dishes that they offer?  Here it is!

MALAYSIAN CURRY LAKSA - Php 215
Made up of rice noodles with chicken and egg. I enjoyed its spiciness
and curry-based soup.  Really really flavorful.  Though my taste
buds missed the mantou, to combat the spiciness  :)

THAI TOM YUM - Php 250
This sweet and sour soup made with shrimp, vegetables and gata
blended well in my mouth.  Again, I survived its spicy flavor.

FRESH SPRING ROLL -  Php 175 for 6 pieces
One of my favorite MLYLT dishes.  The lettuce and shrimp wrapped in
rice paper, was perfect in minimizing some of the spiciness I experienced
in the first two dishes  :)  and when you dip it in MLYLT special peanut sauce,
it is the perfect appetizer

MIXED SATAY - Php 195 for 6 pieces
I simply love the effect of the peanut sauce on top of chicken and pork satay.
I don't like peanut butter on bread, but as a dip, I love peanut sauce
INDONESIAN BEEF RENDANG - Php 255
This for me is the best seller of MLYLT.  I can't stop eating the sweet-spicy beef
that is so tender to bite. My instant reaction... "pahingi ng rice"!

THAI BASIL FRIED RICE - Php 185
This is it... Rice pa more!  The basil infused stir fried rice is the ideal partner
of the Beef Rendang for me  :)
CHICKEN PAD THAI - Php 195
This sweet and sour stir fried noodles.  Raised in Malabon and a certified
lover of pansit, I liked the generous amount of egg, veggies, chicken and
parsley on top of the chewy noodles
NASI GORENG NENAS - Php 185
Indonesian fried rice with egg, anchovies and veggies is perfect for the
Pinoy rice meal lovers!

ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME diners can pair their Southeast Asian dishes with these two drinks...
HONEY CALAMANSI - Php 95
THAI ICED TEA - Php 95
Not so sweet, the way your blended tea should be  :)

My taste buds really feasted on the authentic Southeast Asian dishes that its time for a break.  Its dessert time!!!

TURON ALA MODE - Php 150
The secret to this dessert is the super tasty, homemade basil ice cream
STICKY RICE WITH MANGO - Php 165
Big serving, big yum!

This is the most exciting part, especially for barkadas who just want to hang out and chill in MLYLT.  They have the perfect dishes to go with beers!

FILIPINO KILAWIN WITH MANGO - Php 215
CANH GA CHIEN MAM - Php 215 for 8 pieces
I will be honest with you dear readers, I didn't have the guts to taste this
MLYLT version of spicy chicken wings. But by the reaction of the people
on my table, it is truly SPICY!

Mrs.Wise is inviting you my dear readers for the Grand Launch of ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME this Saturday... December 10 so you can get to sample their flavorful dishes.
