REVIEW: MY FURRY BABY PROUCTS

Meet Katniss.... my 18-month old terrier mix Aspin.  We got her from a rescue center in Cavite.  I remembered how small and quiet she was the day we met her, and she just slept on my son's lap on our 2-hour drive back to QC.

She adjusted fast to our home environment.  She got my temperament.  Doesn't trust anyone easily, quiet most of the day, her idea of "lambing" is simply lying down beside me or just touch my feet with his body while I sit in front of the computer.  Not the demonstrative type of dog, but when in play mode, can be so "makulit" and noisy.

A fast learner too.  She learned how to fetch the ball quickly, even if the tennis ball is too big for her mouth.  

She also learned how to wait patiently for food, and wait for the signal before she runs outside to her  meal.

A few weeks back, we observed that she is shedding fur, resulting to some ugly skinless patches on the skin. She also developed a mild rash on the tummy area.  So we decided to try out MY FURRY BABY 100% organic products on her.  

My Furry Baby boasts of using "madre de cacao" on their products.  Madre de Cacao is more popularly known in the provinces as "kakawate", a leafy legume tree valued for its medicinal and healing properties.  The owners source out madre de cacao from a farm in Batangas.

I first tried the Madre de Cacao ointment.  It is easy to apply, and has a fresh scent of leaves and coconut oil.  After 4 days of applying it twice a day on Katniss, the rashes disappeared, and the dry skin improved immesely.

The next product we used is the Madre de Cacao soap.  Tatay enjoyed bathing Katniss and Milo (the choco lab) last weekend.  It also has the same fresh natural leafy smell as the ointment.  It is foamy, even with just a little bit of application, but rinsing it off is not a problem at all.  So easy to wash off the soapy residue.   We loved how the dogs smell.  So clean and fresh.  We applied the Herbal Pet Oil after bath, and it made their fur softer to touch, and so shiny.  It's been 3 days, as I write this blog post, the dogs are still smelling clean and fresh  :)

We also made sure that the dogs are extra happy with these treats.  Happy Doggy dental chew  (gift from the owners)   with vitamins and minerals, that also promotes healthy coat. At first, Katniss didn't want to taste the treat, but after Milo devoured it with gusto... Katniss took a bite, and finished it all  :)

The verdict:   Madre de Cacao doggie friendly products delivered what it promised. Rashes gone, fur is soft, and Katniss smelled fresh and clean.  Thumbs up for My Furry Baby products.
