THE AZALEA RESIDENCES BAGUIO EXPERIENCE

Okay here's the deal.  When I went into blogging, I was so happy that I would be a "work at home" mom.  Being in the TV industry for 20+ years,  my schedule was so hectic that I missed out on my kids' growing up years.  But hey, I was given a second chance at motherhood.  Choosing to be a freelance writer, and a mommy blogger gave me more time with my teens now.  But the more I spend time with them, the more I see major changes in our relationship:

1.  they are all grown up, that they have their OWN schedule, that I am not included anymore.  Time with the "squad", basketball and soccer games, etc.

2.  sometimes when I tell them about things that I'm excited about, they're not at all interested in what I am saying.  As if, our interests now are universe apart.

3.  I really have to accept that they are OLD enough to take on responsibilities.

So when I got an invite to go to Baguio for a 3-day blogging event, I had to let go, and trust that my teens, with their tatay of course, will survive the days without me.  And I also took the opportunity for some ME-time with fellow bloggers, to just experience and enjoy the cool weather.

It was the perfect getaway, spent in the cozy and modern Azalea Hotel and Residences Baguio, located in Leonard Loop Baguio City, just across Teacher's Camp. It is Baguio's first and only 4-star serviced apartment hotel that will make every family vacation, group getaway or romantic retreat more memorable.

When we arrived on our first day, we were given our welcome drinks courtesy of 8 Degrees Bar Lounge.  What a way to start this little getaway adventure.

Here's a list why I recommend Azalea Residences Baguio:

MY TWO-BEDROOM SUITE

1.  It is just a few steps away from the main road that you get easy access to a jeepney or taxi.  That's accessibility for you!

2.  Azalea Residences has modern rooms perfect for the couple, barkada or family.  I stayed in their 2-bedroom suite with a fellow blogger.  I stayed in the masters bedroom, where I have access to my own bathroom, closet with in-room safe, and a back view balcony where I enjoyed the cool breeze and the warm sunrise.

3.  Being a mom, I can already imagine my family spending time here in Azalea Residences. The hotel room has a kitchen where tatay can cook our Baguio City Market fresh finds. Azalea Residences has a complete kitchen set up with ref, microwave oven, electric cooktop with range hood, dinnerware set.  If you plan to stay in your room and just cook the fresh produce of Baguio, that is quite achievable.

4.  There are three LCD TV's with DVD players.  You will never miss out on your favorite local and cable shows.

5.  Strong wifi that will surely be appreciated by everyone, specially my teens!

They also have other rooms to offer.

Three Bedroom Suite can accommodate 6 adults and 2 kids or 8 adults.  It has a masters bedroom, 2 guest rooms and a sofa bed.

De Luxe Hotel rooms can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids or 3 adults.  It has an LCD TV with DVD player, sofa bed and a complete kitchen set up.

All rooms come with daily buffet breakfast at Azalea's Tradisyon Coffee Shop.

Speaking of Tradisyon Coffee shop, we didn't only enjoy its breakfast buffet.  They also served us with delicious lunch and dinner for 3 days.

But what really struck me as a mommy travel enthusiast is the fact that Azalea Residences Baguio is PWD friendly.  There is a ramp at the side entrance of the hotel, near the front part of the Tradisyon Coffee Shop.

The hotel also has rooms for PWDs.
